Last weekend, I brought my son Asher to party at Clarke Quay with the folks from Nickelodeon at the Nickelodeon Fiesta, held in conjunction with the inaugural Singapore Festival of Fun at Clarke Quay.
A fan of Nickeloden, Asher has been to all their Slime Cup events and is familiar with many of their characters such as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, SpongBob SquarePants and the Paw Patrol.
What’s there to do at Nickelodeon Fiesta?
There are plenty of free games for the kids to take part in. They are given a little collectible Nickelodeon character magnet as a reward for completing each game, which they can then exchange for a magnet album once they played all 12 game stations and collect all 12 magnet designs.
Asher totally got hooked on the his magnet collecting adventure, dashing from point to point with his friend, Sherise to complete all the games.
There was also a thematic family scavenger hunt around Clarke Quay with built-in historical and edutainment elements, bringing stories of Singapore River to life for participants.
At scheduled intervals, the mascots make appearances on stage, performing a few song and dance items before inviting everyone to take photos with them.
To round up the day, German microbrewery and restaurant, Paulaner, was converted into a kids-friendly tea party venue for the little ones to have some snack while engaged in fun and games with the Nickelodeon crew:
The highlight of the tea party was when two of the best-loved Nickelodeon mascots, Spongbob Squarepants and Patrick Star made their appearances:
