Grab Enhances Their Rides With Child-Safe Booster Seats

Parents who are worried about the safety of their kids while taking Grab car rides can now ride with relief. Ride-hailing platform Grab today announced a move to enhance child passenger safety by equipping all GrabCar vehicles with a child booster seat in Singapore.

This makes Grab the first private-car hire service in the country to come up with such an initiative.

Grab is partnering with mifold, a company that specialises in ultra-compact portable child car seats. Each GrabFamily ride comes with one mifold booster seat for children aged between four and seven years old, and weighing between 15 and 36kg.

Passengers with kids in tow can book a GrabFamily ride by selecting the GrabFamily icon on the Grab mobile booking app. A GrabFamily booking costs S$2 more than a regular GrabCar Economy base fare of S$2.50.

From now till 31 March 2017, Grab is waiving off the additional S$2 surcharge for GrabFamily rides with the promo code “FAMILY”. Visit the Grab website for details.
