Dimwitted male model Derek Zoolander (played by Ben Stiller) is back in Zoolander 2 for more outrageous actions!

Zoolander 2 is a 2016 American comedy film directed by Ben Stiller and written by John Hamburg, Justin Theroux, Stiller, and Nick Stoller. It is the sequel to the 2001 film Zoolander and stars Stiller, Owen Wilson, Will Ferrell, Penélope Cruz, Kristen Wiig and Fred Armisen.

Synopsis:

Former models Derek Zoolander and Hansel find themselves thrust back into the spotlight after living in seclusion for years. Invited to a major fashion event in Rome, the estranged friends are surprised to see how much the business has changed. Even more shocking is their encounter with Valentina Valencia, a special agent who needs their help. Someone is killing famous pop stars, and it’s up to Derek and Hansel to help save the world’s most beautiful people from a similar fate.

Expect lots of crazy antics and to be laughing from start till end at the silliness of the fashion industry. Even the promotional posters for the film are downright ludicrous:

The film had done relatively well globally. As of March 9, 2016, Zoolander 2 has grossed US$28.3 million in North America and US$24.8 million in other territories, for a worldwide total of US$55.1 million, against a budget of $50 million.

I haven’t catch the film yet, but the trailer does make me want to go catch it! Zoolander 2 is now showing in Singapore cinemas and is rated NC16. Go catch it! 🙂
