[$10 discount inside] The Entertainer Singapore 2016 app is officially launched!

Our favourite incentives brand is back with new merchants this year! The Entertainer Singapore, that indispensable app containing more than 1,275 buy-one-get-one-free offers for food and beverage, attractions, leisure activities, spas and hotel accommodation, has some surprises in store for users this year.

At the official product launch at Irish pub McGettigan’s on Wednesday night, the good folks at the Entertainer Singapore revealed five things about the app this year which will have you wondering why you don’t have it on your phone yet.

1. This year’s new merchants include Pan Pacific Singapore, Halia at Raffles Hotel, MEATliquor, My Little Spanish Place, Arteastiq Tea Lounge, Shiraz Restaurant, Luxe Sydney, Smoothie King and Wave House Sentosa.

You can get a complimentary One Room Night at the Pan Pacific Nirwana Bali Resort, buy one Main Menu Item and get the second one free at the Poolside bistro in Pan Pacific Singapore. Buy one smoothie and get the second one free at any of the seven Smoothie King outlets islandwide. If you liked last year’s Bedrock Bar & Grill, Senso Ristorante & Bar, Da Paolo Pizza Bar, Brewerkz, PARKROYAL on Pickering, Aramsa the Garden Spa, Ben & Jerry’s and Forest Adventure from the 2015 product, you’d be glad to know that they are back this year as well.

At the launch party held at McGettigan’s, a fabulously large and family-friendly Irish pub in Clarke Quay, I found out that their Main Menu Items – specifically their items in the Meat & Bread and House Specials sections – are particularly value for money especially when you use the Entertainer Singapore app. Yes, even if you order the most expensive main course on the menu, you pay only $37 (nett) for two items.

For those who are hearing of the Entertainer Singapore for the first time, it’s basically an incentives app chock-full of one-for-one vouchers. You simply visit a participating merchant and present the app voucher at payment to redeem your offer. If it’s a Main Menu Item at a restaurant, you simply pay for the higher-priced item only. If it’s a treatment at a spa, you can either bring a friend to enjoy the free treatment, or ask the spa to save the second free treatment for your next visit. 2. You can share the offers with your friend by “ping”-ing it to them!

One could potentially save up to $100,740 by using 2016’s offers, so why not spread the love around? Last year, Singaporeans saved an average of more than $642 with the app (I saved $1,450!).

Last time when the app was available in book format, people used to tear out the vouchers and share them around. Know what’s the danger of doing that? Those slips of paper can easily go missing! And with new merchants being added to the mobile app every month, you really don’t want to miss out on new offers. On the app, you can ping up to 10 offers to your friends. All you need to do is tap on the paper aeroplane icon in the offer and type in your friend’s e-mail address. Then all your friend needs to do is download the app, register for an account, and that particular offer will be available to him or her.

3. Call for Uber via the app.

The app is GPS-enabled, which allows it to pinpoint your location. Once you click into an offer, you’ll see an Uber icon as well as a tab which gives you the estimated waiting time for your ride and the estimated cost.

4. The app has an improved interface which allows you to filter your search more easily.

5. Book a hotel through the app by calling or e-mailing.

The Entertainer Singapore doesn’t just give you local offers on F&B, attractions and spas – it also contains more than 300 ‘Buy One Room Night, Get One Free’ offers in hotels throughout the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Asia & Indian Ocean as well as North America. And we are talking about four- and five-star establishments, not dodgy motels. To redeem your complimentary night, all you need to do is tap on either the “CALL” or “EMAIL” icon to contact the establishment and let them know that you’re using the Entertainer Singapore app.
