During my family trip to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam in April, we stayed at the swanky new Pullman Saigon Centre hotel.
Pullman, Accor’s upscale brand, just made its debut in Ho Chi Minh City in Feburary this year with the opening of the Pullman Sagion Centre in the heart of the city. The first Pullman property in Ho Chi Minh City and the third in Vietnam, the newly-built hotel is located in District 1, near the bustling Ben Thanh market, Saigon’s most famous local market.
It is very convenient to visit most of the city attractions from Pullman hotel. Most like Ben Thanh market are within walking distance or just a short cab ride away that should cost you no more than around 10,000 VND (~S$6) via metered taxis.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. For my son Asher, it seems the stay at Pullman hotel was the one thing he remembered most vividly about the trip. I just asked him yesterday what he best liked about out trip to Vietnam; his reply: “we stayed at Pullman hotel”.

It certainly make sense for workaholics like me who need to be online every night to check my work emails, as well as to ensure all the websites I am running are doing okay. I do that for all my travel and would be a good model of a bleisure traveler.
Pullman Saigon Centre has 306 guest rooms, including 17 suites. The rooms range in size from 34 to 160 square metres and are outfitted with urban contemporary decor.
The furniture and amenities provide comfort and functionality for all types of travelers, featuring Pullman signature beds, separate rain showers, bathtubs, complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi internet, coffee/tea making facilities, a 40-inch flat LED screen IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) with international channels, and multi-function panels that can integrate the room’s entertainment system with guests’ own devices.
Free Wi-Fi is one of the most important thing I look out for when choosing a hotel. The IPTV comes as a plus. Being a techie, I love being able to integrate my own tech devices with their entertainment system.
The highlight of the rooms is the floor-to-ceiling windows that offer spectacular views of the city’s skyline. I took these photos from my room window:

As we planned a relatively light itinerary for this trip, we have sufficient time to explore the hotel and enjoy their various amenities. For Asher, staying in the hotel is a relief for him from the blistering heat outside.
Pullman Saigon Centre features a 24-hour Fit Lounge, offering cardiovascular training, kinesis, weightlifting, and floor exercises. A Jacuzzi and a sauna are also available to help guests unwind. The Spa offers relaxation and regeneration with a range of targeted treatments of varying durations, adapted to the needs of both men and women. The hotel also features a large solarium outdoor swimming pool with a separate kids’ pool. Best of all, there’s a kids’ room which Asher spend some time monkeying around in:
The hotel buffet breakfast at Food Connexion Restaurant was pretty awesome, with a decent spread of Vietnamese and international cuisines. We were staying over the Easter weekend and the restaurant was decorated for the festive occasion:
Food Connexion Restaurant serves a sumptuous international buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as an a la carte menu served with wines by the glass or bottle from Pullman’s exclusive Vinoteca wine collection.

For guests who are willing to fork out more for added comfort, the Executive Rooms and Suites may be worth topping up for.
Thee rooms are each fitted with an espresso machine, docking station, iron, and in-room fitness gear. These are located on the 25th-29th floors, along with access to the Executive Lounge on the 30th floor, which offers exclusive express check-in and check-out, complimentary breakfast and all-day coffee/tea and soft drinks, free usage of the boardroom, computer station and business services, as well as evening cocktails:

I highly recommend Pullman Saigon Centre as the best new hotel to stay in Ho Chi Minh City.

Thank you Alvin for your blogs, really appreciate it as I was deciding between Sofitel Saigon and Pullman Saigon for my December trip. I now have better idea on both hotels from your photos and reviews.
