Makeover your bathroom with Grohe

I quite like my bathroom, I really do. I like the bay windows which serve no real function except to make the place look bigger; I like the slate bathroom tiles which hide dirt so well; I like the fact that my shower stall is separated from the toilet and basin so my floor is always dry.

But if there is one thing I wish I could change about my bathroom, it has to be the pathetic shower set. It came with the flat when we bought it from the developer.

My shower set doesn’t scatter water well

The water droplets always merge into some formless stream when I turn it on. I have very good water pressure in my apartment but it does nothing but waste water with a shower set like this. There is some sort of switch on the shower head to change the spray setting but all of the patterns seem the same to me.

The limitations of our shower sets became all the more apparent after visiting the Grohe Live! Center in Clemenceau Ave a few weeks ago.

Any shower set from Grohe is a class above the one I am currently using

Alvin and I were particularly impressed by the Power & Soul shower set, which features four unique spray patterns, including the “Bokomo”. Bokomo harnesses the power of water with eight dynamic spray nozzles which open and close, to mimic the tension-relieving effect of a fingertip massage. The other spray patterns of the Power & Soul shower include the soft Rain Spray, aerated Grohe Rain O2 Spray and the powerful Jet Spray. All of Grohe’s shower sets are equipped with Grohe EcoJoy water saving technology, which reduces water consumption without compromising the quality of your shower experience.

It all makes sense – a good shower set should not be a mindless splatter of water which merely wets your body. Water is already sold at a premium in Singapore and therefore should be used as efficiently as possible; we should be allowed to extract as much pleasure as possible while only using what is necessary.

Realistically speaking, all we need in our bathrooms are new shower sets; but since we are allowed to dream, I wished that our bathroom were like this:
