Located at Quayside Isle in Sentosa Cove, Earl of Hindh offers North Indian fine dining in a quaint, private setting:
The restaurant is set up by three couples, bonded together by their common love of good food and drinks. During my visit with Rachel and Asher, I was hosted by one of the partner, Ravi, a really friendly and wonderful host.
Ravi shared that their concept for the restaurant was to introduce quality North Indian cuisine into Singapore, featuring a mix of traditional dishes as well as some ingredients which are not commonly found in other establishments. Wine and beer pairing comes as part of the entire experience, with the owners doing the samplings themselves to fine tune it to perfection.
The decor of the restaurant is a mix of traditional Indian designs and modern features, similarly reflected in the menu.
Below are the dishes which we sampled. Note that these were specially prepared in tasting portions and may be in smaller quantity than when you order from the menu:
Price is on the steep side, but you pay for quality and excellent service. A review by veteran Straits Times food critic, Wong Ah Yoke, gave the restaurant a whopping four out of five stars for its cuisine.
The Dariyai Tikka – salmon marinated in a mix of herbs such as fennel, cheese, lemon juice and honey (S$32), is a must-try. I am not usually a fan of cooked salmon, but this is seriously good. Cooked salmon usually comes with a strong fishy smell and the oily texture makes it worse. Here, the style of cooking blends the flavour together cleanly.
The Earl-E-Hindh’s Kakori (S$44), their signature minced lamb kebab dish is another must-try, infused with a variety of spices and grilled to perfection.
Honestly, all the meat dishes were fantastic – rich in flavours and strong in textures.
The curries and gravies which are eaten with the naans were delightful too. There is a wide variety to choose from in the menu:
Good North Indian fine dining restaurants are hard to come by in Singapore and here’s one to go to for a special treat or when you simply have a craving.
The service is top-notch and you can gather it from their reviews on TripAdvisor and HungryGoWhere. The staff and owners are happy to make recommendations and share more details on each of the dishes. Additionally, if you alert them ahead of your visit, they are prepared to go the extra miles in terms of catering for different dining needs for children or meal preferences.

Hey Alvin! Just dropping a comment to say thank you for always including in your review Asher’s menu and if the restaurant is child friendly or not. It helps alot for parents with young kids like us to know if we can bring our kids there, without the need to ring the restaurant up.
