A few weeks ago, I was invited to Bata Shoe Singapore Spring Summer preview with a group of other Singapore bloggers.

Yes, you read correctly, Bata. The same brand most of us grew up with, wearing their white, reasonably-priced school shoes when we were in primary schools.

Bata shoes

The brand has evolved with times, moving on to stock a good range of equally reasonably-priced work and casual wear for working adults. Nowadays, Bata stores have footwear for all ages and all occasions.

Here are some of the images I took at the preview:

Ladies’ handbags and wedges
Female shoes and sandals
Male and female work wear
Ladies’ casual shoes
Leather work shoes from the Bata Ambassador range
Bloggers Darren and Juliana having fun taking photos of Bata shoes
Men’s casual shoes

Bloggers presenting the respective style they have chosen from Bata Spring Summer collection

If you dig through the shoe cabinet in your home, I am sure you will find at least one pair of footwear from Bata, be it if belongs to you or someone else. I did a check and found a pair of black, basic leather work shoes I bought about a year ago.

Btw, many Singaporeans have the mistaken notion that Bata is a Singapore or Malaysia brand. It is not. Bata hails from Czech Republic where shoemakers originated since 1894, more than a hundred years ago.

A little introduction about Bata Shoe in Singapore:

Bata Shoe Singapore opened its first Singapore store in Capitol Building on 25 August 1931. Bata’s founder, Thomas John Bata’s vision was to “shoe the world”, which means “everyone to own a pair of shoes”. Thus Bata aims to offer quality, fashionable and comfortable footwear at affordable prices, so everyone can afford and enjoy a good pair of shoes.

A Bata store is a convenient shopping hub to get shoes and accessories for females, males and even for kids all under one roof. Besides Bata house brands, the store also carries other popular footwear brands.

In Singapore, there are more than 40 stores island wide and Bata is striving to provide customers with more trendy designs and styles, without compromising on comfort and price.

I am pleasantly surprise Bata Shoe Singapore actually did a pink theme Facebook page of me as a “model” for their Spring Summer Preview:

I am not really a fashionista as you can see from the photos of me on my blog and am definitely not modeling material. Nonetheless, I do put effort into my daily attire, making sure I am dressed appropriately for the right occasion.

If you like the style I chose for Bata Singapore’s Spring Summer Preview or just want to reward me for being so brave as an unlikely model, please help to LIKE this picture of me on the Bata Singapore’s Facebook page:

You can stand to win prizes for yourselves by liking my picture (4 lucky voters stand to win a pair of shoes and a bag from Bata Singapore Spring Summer collection). If I win, you can laugh at me again if Bata makes me take more modeling shots. 🙂
