At first I thought it was because of the recent news over the sudden retirement of the ACS (Indepedent) principal. Then I came across this article.

The Singapore Anglo-Chinese Schools seem to be in a spate of bad publicity lately. 祸不单行 – I am going through a spate of bad luck myself too. Let me digress and whine a bit as I seldom bitch on my blog.

I lost my key pouch two weeks ago. Together with the pouch, I lost my house key, cabinet key, newly topped up ezlink card, staff passes and NRIC. Replacing my house lock cost $60. The ezlink card had $40 in value. The staff passes and NRIC will cost be around $100 more? I also have to buy a new cabinet now that my lock is damaged after I pried it open to take out my passport.

Then last week, I lost my new ezlink card again. It’s newly topped up also – $40 in value again.

Today, Rachel got us locked out of our room. We have to get a locksmith to open it. That cost another $40.

Sigh. Bad luck please go away! My pockets are burning.
