Alvinology Masthead

For those of you wondering about the picture of the tanned guy on my masthead (see above) – I drew it. I first use a normal 2B pencil to draw the tanned guy, then I coloured him in Photoshop and added in the background which was digitally drawn on Macromedia Freehand in vector.

Here’s the original, you can find it in my DeviantArt portfolio:

As you can see, I made some changes to the original so that it can fit into the elongated rectangular shape of the masthead. The concept behind this masthead is simple:

I wanted something that looks quirky and nonsensical, since that’s what the content of this blog will be like. The ‘Dive in’ tag line was added to showcase the spirit of this blog, inviting readers to dive deep into the articles to get refreshed – the experience is liken to a dip in a pool on a hot day.

    Can't wait to start on our "eraser nonsense"! Cranky Actually is now in hospital. Hope he'll be back to Fuji-san again by the time the computer doctor is done with him. *grinz*
