Uriage Launches Reformulated Xémose C8+ Skincare Range for Very Dry and Itch Prone Skin

French dermatological skincare brand Uriage has introduced its reformulated Xémose C8+ range in Singapore, targeting very dry and atopic prone skin with a new formulation designed to support the skin’s natural protective barriers.

Developed around the brand’s Triple Barrier Science, the range aims to address three interconnected parts of the skin barrier: the microbiome, immune and physical barriers. It is designed for the whole family, from babies and children to adults, and targets concerns including severe dryness, dry patches, flaking, skin tightness and persistent itching.

At the centre of the reformulation is C8+ biomimetic innovation, which incorporates eight biomimetic ceramides to help increase the quantity and diversity of ceramides in the skin. Ceramides naturally account for around 50% of the skin’s lipids and help maintain the physical barrier, reduce moisture loss and protect against external irritants.

For skin prone to atopic dryness, a lack of ceramides can compromise the skin’s protective structure, making it more vulnerable to irritants and moisture loss. Uriage’s eight ceramides are designed to mimic those naturally found in the skin and support barrier cohesion, suppleness, flexibility and permeability control.

The formula also incorporates Uriage Thermal Water and the brand’s TLR2-Regul and Chronoxin patents to support the microbiome and immune barriers. Nourishing ingredients, including Shea Butter, help replenish lipids and support the physical barrier.

According to Uriage, the Xémose C8+ range helps repair and soothe skin from the first application, with clinically demonstrated 48-hour anti recurrence efficacy.

Two flagship products form the core of the range. The Uriage Xémose C8+ Anti itch Cleansing Oil, available in a 500ml bottle for S$55.90, is a soap free cleanser formulated with Uriage Thermal Water, eight biomimetic ceramides and Shea Butter. Its gel oil texture transforms into a light foam to cleanse the skin while replenishing lipids, with the aim of relieving itching and tightness from the first application.

The Uriage Xémose C8+ Lipid Replenishing Anti-itch Cream, priced at S$38.90 for 200ml, is designed for daily use on very dry and atopic prone skin. It contains Uriage Thermal Water, eight biomimetic ceramides and 10% Shea Butter to help strengthen the skin barrier and address dryness, itching and flaking. The cream has a lightweight texture intended to absorb quickly without leaving a greasy or sticky feeling. Uriage states that it offers clinically demonstrated 48-hour anti itch and anti-recurrence efficacy.

The Singapore range also includes the Uriage Xémose C8+ SOS Anti Itch Mist, 200ml, priced at S$33.90, which provides a touchless application option for use on the go. The Uriage Xémose C8+ Soothing Toner, 250ml, priced at S$38.90, is designed to calm extreme facial dryness.
