New Balance is bringing its Flat Breeze footwear to Singapore on 20 October, introducing a limited-edition design that combines the sleek look of women’s flats with the sporty styling of sneakers. Following a strong reception in South Korea, the new silhouette will be available in four colours at selected New Balance stores and online for S$129, while stocks last.
Developed in South Korea with local fashion preferences in mind, the Flat Breeze offers a streamlined profile designed for everyday wear. Its Korean launch attracted attention, with selected colourways selling out within minutes.
The design combines a soft upper that wraps around the foot with shoelaces and a band across the foot, adding athletic details to the shape of a traditional flat. A rubber outsole provides stability and comfort, making the footwear suitable for different everyday outfits.
Available in Red, Black, Silver and Mint, the Flat Breeze offers options for different personal styles. The Red and Silver versions add a more noticeable accent, while Black and Mint provide more understated alternatives. The design can be paired with relaxed denim, tailored trousers or skirts.
In Singapore, the Red and Silver colourways will be available at New Balance Jewel Changi, VivoCity, Suntec City and ION Orchard. The Black and Mint versions will be exclusive to New Balance VivoCity.
The launch also highlights New Balance’s expanding range of low-profile footwear, which draws inspiration from the brand’s running heritage and blends athletic design with contemporary everyday styling.
Among the other models in the range is the 204L, which takes inspiration from running shoes from the 1970s and the performance footwear of the early 2000s. The silhouette features sleek proportions and understated detailing.
The 204V offers another take on retro running style, combining a low-profile shape with ABZORB cushioning, mesh detailing and an alternative closure system. The design brings together elements of New Balance’s sporting heritage with features intended for modern everyday wear.
