Presented by Founding and Lead Partner UBS, ART SG will hold its fifth edition from 22 to 24 January 2027, with a VIP Preview and Vernissage taking place on 21 January. The fair will bring together emerging and established artists, galleries, collectors and cultural leaders from Singapore, Southeast Asia and the wider international art community.

S.E.A. Focus, the homegrown platform dedicated to Southeast Asian contemporary art, will also return alongside ART SG for its ninth edition. Commissioned by the National Arts Council, S.E.A. Focus will be held at Marina Bay Sands for the second consecutive year, allowing visitors to experience both platforms in one location.

Curated by John Tung, S.E.A. Focus 2027 will explore the theme “Better Worlds”. The exhibition will bring together artistic practices that examine contemporary life in an increasingly connected world, including how advancing technologies and expanding networks are creating new ways for individuals and communities to connect, participate and engage across increasingly complex systems.

ART SG will also present a major offsite collaboration with Thai artist Pinaree Sanpitak and Artspace Sydney. The 11-day immersive activation will take place at 72-13, a heritage building and former rice warehouse that is now home to transdisciplinary arts company and Presenting Partner T:>Works.

Titled “How We Hold What’s Possible. Movement II: Artspace offsite exhibition, Singapore (2027)”, the project forms the second chapter of a three-year artistic and curatorial collaboration between Sanpitak and Artspace Sydney. It follows Movement I, a conversation between Sanpitak and Artspace Executive Director Victor Wang held in Sydney in September 2026, and will lead towards a large-scale mid-career retrospective of the artist at Artspace in 2028.

For the Singapore chapter, Sanpitak will create a site-specific environment drawing from significant bodies of her formal and informal practice. The activation will serve as a gathering place for conversations, communal meals, performances, workshops and music, with the programme designed around ideas of community, comfort and hospitality. Further details will be announced closer to January.

Several ART SG initiatives will also return in 2027, supporting museum acquisitions, gallery and institution partnerships, cross-border exchange and emerging artists.

The SAM ART SG Fund will return for its third year with S$250,000 dedicated to acquiring international contemporary art. Supported by patrons Carmen Yixuan Li, Pure Yichun Chen, Pierre Lorinet and anonymous donors, with advisory guidance from ART SG Fair Director Shuyin Yang, the fund enables the Singapore Art Museum to acquire significant works by leading and emerging artists. Acquired works will subsequently be made accessible to the public through the museum’s exhibitions and programmes.

The TVS Initiative for Indian and South Asian Contemporary Art will also return for a second year. Curatorially advised by Studio Public Memory and led by writer and curator Srinivas Aditya Mopidevi, the initiative will feature “South Asia Insights”, a dedicated pavilion, curator led tours and exchanges designed to build connections among artists, collectors, curators and cultural institutions across South Asia and beyond.

Meanwhile, the ART SG FUTURES Prize Presented by UBS will return for its second edition in 2027. The prize will award US$10,000 to an outstanding emerging artist featured in ART SG’s FUTURES sector, continuing the fair’s focus on supporting new talent and the next generation of creative voices.

The participating artists and galleries for both ART SG and S.E.A. Focus will be announced in November 2026.
