Zouk is bringing a darker twist to childhood nostalgia this Halloween with PLAY DEAD, a two-night electronic and dance music experience taking place on Friday and Saturday, 30 and 31 October.
Themed around forgotten and abandoned toys coming to life after dark, PLAY DEAD will transform the Zouk complex into The Playground, an immersive multiverse made up of four interconnected worlds. Each world will feature its own theme, atmosphere and experience as familiar childhood characters and collectibles are reimagined through a darker lens.
The concept draws inspiration from pop culture, horror and childhood memories, turning once cherished toys into sinister figures for a Halloween night out. Guests will be able to move between the four themed worlds throughout the two-night programme.
Zouk’s Best Dressed competition will also return across both nights, with more than S$10,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs. The Zouk team will roam all four venues throughout 30 and 31 October to spot costumes that stand out for their creativity, originality and execution.
The Best Dressed Grand Prize winner will receive S$5,000 in cash, while the runner up will receive S$1,500 in cash and a two-night staycation at COMO Metropolitan Singapore. The Best Dressed Couple will receive S$800 in cash, while the Best Dressed Group will take home S$1,500 in cash. A Theme Specific Best Dressed prize worth S$1,000 in cash will also be awarded.
Following Halloween weekend, selected finalists will be featured on Zouk’s social media channels, with public voting contributing to the final result. Zouk will make the final selection based on creativity, execution, originality and how well each costume captures the spirit of the competition.
PLAY DEAD takes place at Zouk on 30 and 31 October, giving Halloween revelers two nights to explore its twisted playground and compete for a share of the prize pool.
