Getting more protein into your everyday lunch could be as simple as ordering a bowl of noodles. The Soup Spoon has introduced Singapore developed ProTEGO noodles to its menu, offering diners noodle-based meals with between 12.8g and 50g of protein.

Developed by homegrown food tech company KosmodeHealth, ProTEGO is a low GI, high protein noodle designed as a more nutritious alternative to conventional noodles. The noodles provide protein and fibre while using upcycled food ingredients, forming part of KosmodeHealth’s #WasteToHealth innovation.

The new noodles are currently featured in The Soup Spoon’s September SouperChef Special, available from 4 September to 5 October 2026. Selected ProTEGO noodle dishes will also remain available on the menu until the end of 2026.

For a lighter option, the Chilled Nori Protein Noodles feature ProTEGO noodles tossed in The Soup Spoon’s house made tangy ume wafu vinaigrette, with seaweed, sesame and spring onion. The dish contains 12.8g of protein.

The Ume Wafu Protein Noodle Salad offers a more substantial meal with egg, edamame and crunchy vegetables. A half portion contains 20.1g of protein, while a full portion provides 40.2g.

For those looking for a higher protein meal, The Salad Fork pairs ProTEGO noodles with miso chicken breast to deliver 50g of protein in one bowl.

The menu is designed to make higher protein meals more accessible without requiring diners to rely on protein shakes, bars or extensive meal preparation. By incorporating protein into a familiar noodle dish, The Soup Spoon is positioning the new options as an everyday choice for office workers, active consumers and diners looking for more nutritious meals.

The ProTEGO noodles also add nutritional value without relying solely on additional meat or eggs. Their low GI and high protein formulation is intended to provide a more functional staple while retaining the convenience of a noodle-based meal.

ProTEGO noodle dishes are available at The Soup Spoon outlets across Singapore. The Chilled Nori Protein Noodles are available as part of the September SouperChef Special from 4 September to 5 October 2026, while selected ProTEGO noodle bowls will continue to be available until the end of the year.
