450 Artists Come Together at Dempsey Hill for Charity Art Exhibition HOME: 家

Dempsey Hill will become a gathering place for artists of different generations this September as HOME: 家 brings together around 450 local artists for a three-day community art exhibition supporting charity.

Taking place from 4 to 6 September 2026, the exhibition will showcase around 450 original artworks created by children, youths and adults. About one third of the participating artists are children and young people, highlighting the role of art in connecting generations and giving people a platform for self-expression.

Half of the artworks will be available for sale, with proceeds going towards the Children’s Cancer Foundation and Singapore Cancer Society. The initiative aims to combine community creativity with collective giving, allowing visitors to support charitable causes while experiencing works inspired by the different meanings of home.

Presented by Singapore arts education studio Artgrain in partnership with Dempsey Hill, HOME: 家 explores themes including personal memories, family, identity and everyday experiences. Rather than focusing solely on artistic achievement, the exhibition highlights the personal stories and creative journeys behind the works.

For many of the participating artists, Artgrain has served as more than an arts education studio. The space has provided children, youths and adults with opportunities to build confidence, develop their creative voices and form connections through art.

Among the emerging artists featured is Myra Wee Hsin Shuen, recipient of the Business Times Budding Artist Award 2024. The exhibition will also feature works by young artists whose pieces reflect their individual perspectives and their freedom to communicate ideas beyond words.

HOME: 家 will be held at 8D Dempsey Road, #01-01, Singapore 249672, from 4 to 6 September 2026. Admission is free and the exhibition is open to the public.
