SK-II Launches First Facial Treatment Serum to Lock in Youth Through Plumpness, Firmness and Radiance

SK-II has unveiled its first ever Facial Treatment Serum, introducing a new generation anti-aging formula designed to help lock in youth across three key beauty dimensions: skin plumpness, firmness and radiance.

The new serum marks a new chapter for the global luxury skincare brand, drawing on research into how modern life and stress can affect the appearance and condition of skin. According to SK-II’s latest research, stress can influence the expression levels of 701 genes, with potential effects on concerns including skin texture, pores, redness and fine lines.

At the heart of the new SK-II Facial Treatment Serum is a concentrated level of PITERA, the brand’s signature naturally derived ingredient produced through a proprietary yeast fermentation process. The formula also introduces SK-II’s newly developed Boosting Oil Beads, which are designed to release their potency when they burst gently onto the skin.

The serum contains 16,000 Boosting Oil Beads, with each bead measuring approximately 0.7mm. The beads dissolve into a refreshing jelly texture upon application and are designed to absorb into the skin without leaving an oily sensation.

The formulation is complemented by a Mizunara scent inspired by Japanese Mizunara oak trees. It combines a woody base with lighter floral notes to create the serum’s signature fragrance.

SK-II has also placed an emphasis on the product’s physical design. The bottle takes inspiration from the timeless shape of a bespoke padlock, reflecting the product’s “Lock in Youth” concept. A signature lock sound can also be heard when the bottle is twisted closed, adding a distinctive element to the packaging.

The SK-II Facial Treatment Serum is now available at SK-II counters across Singapore and online. It is priced at S$218 for 30ml and S$326 for 50ml.
