Held in partnership with the National Environment Agency (NEA) as part of its annual Say YES to Waste Less campaign, this year’s edition is running from 24 July to 23 August 2026 across Velocity@Novena Square and United Square.

Carrying the theme “Pre Loved / Re Loved”, the campaign encourages shoppers to rethink how they buy, use, repair and recycle everyday products. Rather than focusing solely on recycling after disposal, the initiative promotes extending the lifespan of items through reuse, repair and responsible disposal, supporting Singapore’s broader efforts to reduce waste sent to Semakau Landfill and advance a circular economy.

The main activation begins at Velocity@Novena Square from 24 July to 2 August, before moving to United Square from 3 to 9 August.

Throughout the campaign, visitors can browse a curated selection of pre loved goods, participate in creative workshops, explore educational installations and contribute to e waste and textile recycling efforts.

A key highlight of the activation is a reimagined department store concept divided into four experiential zones: The Window, The Floor, The Studio and The Checkout.

The Window introduces visitors to the principles of circular living through educational displays and an installation featuring mirrors framed with discarded electronic components such as keyboard keycaps and cables. Informational panels explain how electronics and textiles can be cared for, repaired and recycled more effectively.

The Floor serves as a circular marketplace where shoppers can discover pre loved, upcycled and responsibly made products across fashion, accessories, stationery, photography and music. Participating vendors include Vintagewknd, Secondtick, OFFCUT, Yappy Film, Ronggeng Records, Future Heirlooms and Play Beyond Kids, with the vendor lineup varying between the two malls.

The Studio offers hands on experiences that encourage visitors to repair, repurpose and create. Weekend workshops include Vintagewknd’s Keychain Bar Workshop and PlasticTinkers’ 3D Printing Workshop, while weekday visitors can enjoy complimentary activities such as designing their own photo frames. On selected Saturdays, families can also personalise and bring home a mini ALBA recycling bin.

The Checkout completes the journey by providing convenient collection points for unwanted electronics and textiles through recycling partners ALBA and Re:Nue by The Salvation Army. Visitors can also take photos at installations created using pre loved and recycled materials, reinforcing the campaign’s message of extending the life of everyday objects.

The event itself reflects the same sustainability principles it promotes. Developed with circular design studio WASTD, the activation incorporates recycled textile boards, recycled wood, coloured steel piping and repurposed materials selected with future recycling in mind.

During the United Square leg of the campaign, retailer Tree Art will also stage an art exhibition from 3 to 9 August, offering another creative interpretation of renewal and sustainable living.
