Shangri-La Singapore Unveils 2026 Mid-Autumn Mooncake Collection with Sustainable Gift Sets and New Artisanal Flavours

Shangri-La Singapore is welcoming the 2026 Mid-Autumn Festival with a thoughtfully curated collection of artisanal mooncakes and beautifully designed gift sets inspired by reunion, tradition and sustainability. Guided by the theme “Moonlit City, Heartfelt Shangri-La”, this year’s collection combines heritage craftsmanship with contemporary creativity through innovative flavours, reusable packaging and keepsake gift boxes that can be enjoyed long after the festive season.

The collection is available for purchase online and at the Mooncake Specialty Counter located at the Tower Wing Lobby from 25 July to 25 September 2026. Complementing this year’s launch is an AI generated short film titled Moonlight Post Office, which will be released on Shangri-La Singapore’s social media channels as part of the campaign.

Leading the collection are the Classic Baked Mooncake Gift Boxes, inspired by the full moon as a symbol of harmony and togetherness. Available in Red, Sage Green and Beige Linen, the multifunctional keepsake boxes transform into lanterns and ambient table lamps while featuring removable storage drawers that can be reused for treasured keepsakes. Among this year’s new flavours is the Longjing with Pumpkin Seeds and Sunflower Seeds Mooncake, which pairs premium Longjing tea with roasted seeds for a delicate yet nutty flavour profile. Returning favourites include the Shang Palace Four Treasures assortment, Reduced Sugar White Lotus Seed Paste Mooncakes in various yolk options, and the Mixed Nuts with Chicken Ham mooncake, offering a balance of traditional and contemporary tastes.

Sustainability remains a key focus throughout this year’s collection. The Plant Based Mooncake Collection, developed in partnership with JUMA Studio, is presented with a Furoshiki inspired scarf made from recycled plastic water bottles and decorated with the Shangri-La Orchid motif. Designed for repeated use as a handbag, fashion accessory or decorative piece, the packaging reflects the hotel’s commitment to reducing waste while encouraging more conscious gifting. The collection introduces two flavours, Royal Red Ruby with red dates, goji berries and lotus seed paste, alongside Toffee Butterscotch with rich caramel notes and smooth lotus seed paste.

Returning for its third year is Executive Chinese Chef Daniel Cheung’s Shang Palace Red Date Pumpkin Seed with Bird’s Nest Mooncakes, combining naturally sweet red dates, crunchy pumpkin seeds and bird’s nest. Presented in a premium PU leather gift box that can be repurposed as a watch case, the offering continues to blend luxury with practicality.

For those looking for something more contemporary, Origin Bar’s Mid-Autumn Gift Set features six handcrafted mini mooncakes inspired by the bar’s newly launched X Menu. Flavours include Pain au Chocolat and Celestial 75, paired with a stainless-steel flask containing Origin Bar’s signature whisky-based cocktail, creating a unique festive gifting experience.

Shangri-La Singapore has also introduced three premium festive hampers featuring Reduced Sugar White Lotus Seed Paste Mooncakes with Double Yolk. Guests can choose from the Moonlit Premium Gift Set with Shang Palace Pu Er Tea and a teapot set, the Celestial Prestige Gift Set with Shangri-La Tazate Pét-Nat Tea and glasses, or the Imperial Moonlight Gift Set featuring a bottle of Shangri-La Clarendelle Rouge Bordeaux and a wine opener set.

Fans of snowskin mooncakes can look forward to the return of the Mao Shan Wang Durian Snowskin Mooncakes, filled with rich and creamy durian, as well as the Assorted Snowskin Mooncakes featuring Pandan Coconut and Mixed Berries flavours. Both varieties are presented in elegant reusable blue tins decorated with floral motifs.

Families with young children are not left out, with two playful additions starring Shangri-La’s family ambassador, Squeaky. The DIY Brick Surprise Dispenser lets children build their own blind box dispenser while discovering mini chocolate chip mooncakes and collectible figures inspired by Mid-Autumn legends. Meanwhile, the Moonlit Kids Surprise Box recreates the excitement of an advent calendar with hidden compartments containing mooncake treats and Squeaky plush pendants dressed as characters such as Chang’e, Hou Yi and the Jade Rabbit.

Taking centre stage is the Shangri-La Mooncake Selection Set, inspired by the traditional artistry of Xianju Lanterns and themed “The Way Home”. The illuminated two-tier gift box includes a handcrafted Heartlight Lantern bearing one of four auspicious blessings, with a rare Prosperity edition hidden in selected sets. Inside are six signature and innovative mooncake flavours including White Lotus Seed Paste with Double Egg Yolk, Golden Lotus Seed Paste with Double Egg Yolk, Aged Mandarin Peel, Rose and Red Bean Paste, Custard Lava, Jin Jun Mei Tea, Fig and Red Bean Paste, and Jujube Paste Rice with Longan.

The complete mooncake collection is available until 25 September 2026, with delivery and collection from 3 August to 25 September.
