Downtown East is celebrating Singapore’s 61st birthday with a month-long lineup of activities, exclusive promotions and family friendly experiences throughout August. This year’s SG61 campaign also coincides with the 22nd anniversary of Wild Wild Wet, bringing together new attractions, live entertainment, shopping rewards and special offers for visitors of all ages.

One of the biggest highlights is the opening of PLAYON, which will launch its first Singapore outlet at Downtown East this August. Spanning more than 13,200 square feet, the new indoor digital sports playground will feature interactive games, sports simulators, virtual reality zones and a variety of immersive challenges designed for both children and adults. To mark its debut and Singapore’s National Day celebrations, PLAYON will also introduce exclusive SG61 promotional offers.

On 8 August, Downtown East will host a National Day community sing along featuring familiar local favourites performed by Generations in Harmony. The performance will bring together Ageless Bridge performers, who are U Live Ambassadors, alongside nEbO leaders in a celebration of Singapore’s multicultural spirit and community bonds.
Wild Wild Wet will also mark its 22nd anniversary with a series of special promotions throughout August. Visitors celebrating their birthdays during the month can enjoy complimentary admission to the water park, while all guests can receive free balloons between 5pm and 6pm on weekends, while stocks last. The celebration also commemorates the birthday of Wild Wild Wet’s mascot, Flumi. Guests can also take advantage of limited time day pass promotions running until 31 August, with Child Off Peak Day Passes starting from just $16. Wild Wild Wet merchandise will also be available at 50 percent off, including T shirts previously priced from $30.

Fitness enthusiasts can look forward to SongkRun on 1 August, promoted as Asia’s first Running and Water Festival. Participants can choose between scenic 5km or 10km fun runs before enjoying a full day at Wild Wild Wet, where rides open from 11am. The event also includes wellness activities such as yoga, high intensity interval training and pilates, alongside live performances by regional DJs including Kickcheeze and Fahjah.
Across the rest of Downtown East, visitors can enjoy a wide range of SG61 promotions from participating dining, retail and wellness brands throughout the National Day campaign period from 1 July to 31 August. These include exclusive dining deals, shopping rewards, wellness privileges and other limited time offers.

Adding to the celebrations is the launch of It’s A Tuesday Thing from 4 August. Every Tuesday, NTUC Members and UPlay Premium Members will enjoy exclusive promotions across more than 30 participating brands at Downtown East, providing even more reasons to visit throughout the campaign.
