Samsung Electronics has introduced its latest generation of foldable smartphones with the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8, marking its most comprehensive foldable lineup to date. Built on seven generations of foldable innovation, the new Galaxy Z Series is designed to bring foldable technology to more users by offering three distinct devices tailored to different lifestyles and needs.
Leading the lineup is the all-new Galaxy Z Fold8, which introduces a redesigned foldable experience focused on everyday immersion. Featuring a new form factor with intuitive display ratios, the device transitions seamlessly from quick tasks on its cover screen to entertainment, reading and gaming on its expansive main display. Weighing just 201g, it is Samsung’s lightest Galaxy Z Fold yet, while combining the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor with a larger 4,800mAh battery for long lasting performance. Its dual 50MP camera system, Dual Recording feature and My FanCam AI tracking capabilities further enhance photography and content creation.
For users seeking the ultimate productivity device, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra brings Samsung’s Ultra experience to the foldable category. It features an expansive 8-inch main display, measures just 4.1mm when unfolded and weighs 215g, making it Samsung’s slimmest Z Fold device yet. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, the Fold8 Ultra is equipped with a larger 5,000mAh battery, 45W fast charging and an upgraded cooling system to support demanding multitasking and AI powered workflows. The camera system includes a 200MP main camera, a new 50MP ultra-wide camera, improved Nightography and support for 8K video recording with the APV codec and Cine LUT tools for creators.
The Galaxy Z Flip8 continues Samsung’s compact foldable evolution with its slimmest and lightest Flip design yet. Weighing just 180g and measuring 6.1mm thin, it introduces an AI native FlexWindow that brings apps, insights and AI powered actions directly to the cover screen. Users can access personalised updates through Now Brief, automate tasks with Gemini Intelligence and enjoy an upgraded FlexCam experience featuring a 50MP camera, enhanced selfie features, Super Steady video and hands-free shooting modes.
Galaxy AI plays a central role across the entire Galaxy Z Series, with experiences optimised for each foldable form factor. Features such as Now Brief, Now Nudge and Gemini Intelligence help users manage tasks, organise information and automate actions across more than 40 supported apps and services. Foldable displays further enhance multitasking by allowing conversations, notes, documents and AI generated content to be viewed side by side. AI experiences also extend across Samsung’s ecosystem, working seamlessly with the new Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9 Series.
Samsung has also strengthened privacy and security across the lineup with Samsung Knox, Personal Data Engine, Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection, Knox Vault and a new AI Assistant Activity dashboard that provides greater transparency into AI powered actions. One UI 9.0 also introduces enhanced privacy alerts to help users better manage their personal information and AI settings.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8 are available for pre order in Singapore from 22 July 2026 at 9.00pm through the Samsung Online Store, Samsung Shop App, Samsung Experience Stores and participating retailers. Customers who pre order can enjoy up to S$300 off selected storage upgrades, with early deliveries beginning on 10 August. The devices will officially go on sale from 14 August 2026 through Samsung, local telecommunications operators including M1, Singtel and StarHub, major electronics retailers and selected online platforms.
Samsung is also introducing the New Galaxy Club, offering eligible customers guaranteed future trade in value and two years of Samsung Care+ coverage for added peace of mind.
