The Sultanate of Oman has officially strengthened its tourism presence in Singapore, a move that coincides with the launch of the inaugural direct flight by Oman Air between Muscat and Singapore.

The new direct service, which officially commenced on 2 July, 2026, enhances connectivity and reinforces a shared commitment to promoting Oman as a premier travel destination. For travelers departing from Singapore, the flight provides seamless access to one of the most authentic and diverse destinations in the Middle East.

Yousuf Al Mujaizi, Assistant Director of Business Development at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, called the direct flight an important milestone for cultural exchange and economic ties.
He noted that Singapore is a valuable source market and explained that this new connection supports Oman Vision 2040 by diversifying source markets and advancing sustainable tourism.

Echoing this sentiment, Oman Air Sales Manager Ameer Al Balushi stated the route offers greater convenience and gives travelers a true taste of Omani hospitality from the moment they step on board.
This aviation milestone builds on more than four decades of warm bilateral relations between Oman and Singapore, which are firmly tied in strong cooperation across trade and maritime affairs.
As two nations with proud maritime heritages located along major global trade routes, this direct air connectivity marks another significant step in strengthening the longstanding ties. Moving forward, the Ministry anticipates welcoming more visitors from across Southeast Asia to experience the culture, nature, and authentic Arabian hospitality of Oman.
For travelers departing from Singapore, the direct flight presents an incredible opportunity by providing seamless access to the Sultanate of Oman as a fresh travel destination located within the Middle East.
