Score Free Gelato at Shaw Theatres Jem as Centro Opens with Three-Day Giveaway from 18 to 20 June

Moviegoers heading to Shaw Theatres Jem this week can sweeten their cinema experience with free gelato as Centro, a new Gelato & Dessert Bar, celebrates its grand opening with a three-day giveaway from 18 to 20 June 2026.

Located inside Shaw Theatres Jem, Centro is a new concept developed in collaboration with the co-founders of Wild Honey. The dessert bar introduces a first for Shaw Theatres, allowing patrons to enjoy premium gelato, desserts and beverages both within the cinema and at the outlet itself.

To mark the launch, Centro will be giving away 150 complimentary scoops of its signature Salted Caramel Popcorn Gelato each day from Thursday, 18 June to Saturday, 20 June. The promotion starts daily from 10am and is available while stocks last.

To redeem a free scoop, customers simply need to follow Centro’s Instagram account, @centro.sg, and present a same day movie ticket from Shaw Theatres Jem. Each person is entitled to one complimentary scoop, with toppings not included as part of the giveaway.

The opening promotion offers movie lovers an opportunity to sample one of Centro’s signature creations while exploring the venue’s wider menu of desserts and beverages.

Beyond gelato, Centro serves a selection of specialty desserts including its Pistachio Fantasy and freshly prepared waffles. Guests can also enjoy specialty coffee from Toby’s Estate and ceremonial grade matcha from Matcha Project.

The gelato menu features a range of distinctive flavours designed to go beyond traditional favourites. Among the highlights are Caramelised Soy, Honey Chamomile, and Chrysanthemum & Cacao Nibs, offering unique flavour combinations for adventurous dessert lovers.

One of Centro’s key features is its cinema friendly concept, allowing customers to bring their gelato, desserts and drinks directly into the movie halls, creating a more elevated cinema snacking experience.

The giveaway will take place at Centro, located at Shaw Theatres Jem, #05-04 on Level 5, from 18 to 20 June 2026, with only 150 free scoops available each day.
