Délifrance, the beloved home-grown French cafe bakery brand, is celebrating its 41st year of operations in Singapore.
The café chain’s first Asian outlet opened at Clifford Centre and has since grown to 14 café-bakery locations across Singapore. To mark this milestone, the brand recently announced a new and exclusive collaboration with KITKAT. The partnership marries Délifrance, a specialist in French patisseries, with the iconic crunch of KITKAT to creates a unique and limited edition treat.

This is the first major initiative by Délifrance as part of a year long activity calendar designed to rejuvenate the brand in Singapore. By aligning with KITKAT, a brand synonymous with the break culture, Délifrance is repositioning itself as the go to destination for the perfect mid-day break where one can come to take a moment to slow down, recharge and refuel.

The highlight here is the Crunchy Chocolate Mousse Made with KITKAT (S$9.50). For those looking to share with a friend, you can grab two slices for S$16. Making its Southeast Asian debut right here in Singapore, this cake represents a strategic partnership between two popular heritage brands.

The layered dessert represents a reimagining of the classic KITKAT wafer, designed to mirror the iconic bar’s geometry. Visually, it looks exactly like a giant, elegant version of the chocolate bar.

The magic is in the construction. Inside the cake lies a delicate, crispy wafer layer, a homage to the KITKAT snap, that remains light and crunchy even against the moisture of the mousse. Utilising Délifrance’s traditional techniques, the mousse is aerated to a cloud-like consistency, providing a contrast to the chocolate notes.

We tried it and each bite is a harmonious balance of rich cocoa notes with that unmistakable yet iconic crunch. It features smooth chocolate mousse paired with delicate, crunchy textures, delivering a light yet decadent finish.
