Pangdemonium Brings Suspenseful New Play A Mirror to Singapore This June

Award-winning theatre company Pangdemonium is set to close its 2026 season with a gripping and thought-provoking production as it stages the Singapore premiere of A Mirror, the critically acclaimed play by British playwright Sam Holcroft.

Running from 26 June to 12 July 2026 at the Singtel Waterfront Theatre, the production promises an intense theatrical experience where love, deception, and survival collide in a story where no one can be trusted.

A Wedding Celebration with a Dark Secret

Set in an unnamed totalitarian state, A Mirror begins with what appears to be a joyous wedding celebration. Guests gather to witness a union of love under the watchful eyes of the authorities.

But beneath the surface of the festivities lies something far more dangerous.

As the story unfolds, truth and fiction begin to blur, loyalties are tested, and trust becomes an illusion. In this world of surveillance and fear, not a single guest is safe.

A Bold Exploration of Truth and Storytelling

Originally staged in London to strong critical acclaim, A Mirror is described as a suspenseful and structurally daring production that challenges audiences to question not only what they see on stage, but what they choose to believe.

Directed by Tracie Pang, the Singapore staging marks the local debut of the explosive play and is expected to be one of Pangdemonium’s most talked-about productions of the year.

Strong Ensemble Cast

The production features a talented cast led by:

  • Ghafir Akbar
  • Andrew Marko
  • Zachary Pang
  • Coco Wang Ling

Additional cast members are also set to join the ensemble.

Runtime and Rating

A Mirror will run for approximately 2 hours with no intermission.

The production is rated Advisory 16 by IMDA for some mature content and coarse language, and is recommended for audiences aged 12 and above.
