Royal Caribbean is raising the bar for family vacations once again with the reveal of Hero of the Seas, the cruise line’s fourth Icon Class ship set to debut in Miami in August 2027. Described as the “hero of family vacations,” the new vessel will introduce bold new experiences across eight immersive neighbourhoods, featuring the most pools at sea, a record-breaking 28 dining venues, new family-centric accommodations, and all-new adventure attractions.

Hero of the Seas will feature nine pools, the most ever on a Royal Caribbean ship, offering experiences for every age group and vacation style.

Highlights include:

  • Coconut Cove: A brand-new pool beside the tropical-themed Lime and Coconut bar, featuring in-water loungers and serene views of the lush Central Park neighborhood.
  • The Hideaway: An expanded adults-only oasis with two pools, including the largest swim-up bar at sea and an in-water DJ booth for all-day party vibes.
  • Revamped Favorites: An expanded Swim & Tonic pool and swim-up bar for adults, along with upgraded water play features at Splashaway Bay in the Surfside family neighborhood.
