The Centrepoint Launches “The Centrestage” to Bring Fresh Cultural Energy to Orchard Road

A new cultural platform is set to enliven Orchard Road as The Centrepoint unveils The Centrestage, a bi-annual event series dedicated to live performances, art and community engagement.

Making its debut with the inaugural “Artist Story” edition, the event will run from 21 March to 2 April 2026 at the mall’s Level 1 Atrium. The programme brings together emerging Singaporean musicians, student performers and interactive art experiences, offering visitors a closer look at the creative journeys behind each artist’s work.

As one of Orchard Road’s long-standing retail landmarks, The Centrepoint is expanding its role beyond shopping by creating shared cultural experiences that encourage visitors to explore, connect and return. The initiative also reflects Frasers Property Singapore’s vision of shaping retail spaces into vibrant lifestyle destinations.

Spotlight on Local Music Talent

The series opens with The Music Edition from 21 to 22 March, featuring a curated line-up of live performances that highlight the diversity of Singapore’s rising music scene.

Headlining the event are Josh Makazo and Shazza, who will close each evening with dynamic sets. Audiences can also catch performances by up-and-coming local acts including Jason Yu, ANNÉ, Noah Fang, Bernice Ong, Ishbel Warifa, Chelsea Cara, Layyi and ICEBOX.

Immersive Art Experiences Take Centre Stage

Following the music showcase, The Art Edition runs from 23 March to 2 April in collaboration with WE ART. The atrium will be transformed into a gallery-style space, featuring a curated exhibition of student artworks alongside pieces from emerging and established local artists.

Interactive workshops will be held from 25 to 29 March (2pm to 6pm), giving visitors hands-on opportunities to explore different artistic techniques under the guidance of WE ART and participating artists. These sessions aim to foster creativity and deepen appreciation for local art across all age groups.

A special highlight includes a creative sharing session on 22 March at 2.50pm, led by WE ART founder Constant Tong and a guest artist, offering insights into artistic inspiration and the creative process.

A New Platform for Creative Discovery

By blending live performances, exhibitions and participatory workshops, The Centrestage – “Artist Story” transforms The Centrepoint into a dynamic platform for cultural discovery. The initiative not only gives emerging Singaporean talent a visible stage but also creates meaningful, shared experiences for visitors in the heart of Orchard Road.
