Based on the award-winning manga written by Aka Akasaka (also known for Kaguya-sama: Love is War) and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari (Scum’s Wish), Oshi no Ko dives into the glittering yet ruthless world of show business.
The story begins when rising idol Ai Hoshino secretly seeks medical help from Dr. Gorou Amemiya during her pregnancy. Determined to protect her future in the spotlight, Ai plans a scandal-free return to fame. However, tragedy strikes when Gorou is murdered by an obsessed stalker, only to be reincarnated as Ai’s son, Aquamarine Hoshino. From there, the series explores fame, obsession, revenge and the hidden darkness behind the entertainment industry’s glamorous façade.
The anime is directed by Daisuke Hiramaki (Asteroid in Love), with series composition by Jin Tanaka (The Misfit of Demon King Academy), and animation produced by Doga Kobo.
The voice cast includes Takeo Otsuka as Aqua Hoshino, Yurie Igoma as Ruby Hoshino, Megumi Han as Kana Arima, Manaka Iwami as Akane Kurokawa, Rumi Okubo as MEMcho, and Rie Takahashi as Ai Hoshino.
In Season 3, six months have passed since the release of “POP IN 2.” With MEMcho’s relentless efforts, B-Komachi edges closer to a major breakthrough. Aqua continues to thrive as a multi-talented entertainer, while Akane’s acting career flourishes. Meanwhile, Kana struggles with a loss of her once-bright spirit.
As Ruby climbs the ranks of the entertainment world in pursuit of the truth behind Ai and Gorou’s deaths, she embraces deception as a strategic weapon.
