VivoCity is set to welcome the Year of the Fire Horse with a vibrant line-up of festive experiences as it launches its Chinese New Year 2026 campaign, Timeless Reunion, Endless Joy. Running from 27 January to 16 February 2026, the celebration brings together cultural traditions, immersive décor, retail highlights and family-friendly activities that embody the spirit of reunion, abundance and shared joy.

Inspired by the symbolism of the traditional Eight Treasure Tray, VivoCity’s Chinese New Year programme centres on togetherness and the joy of sharing, values that lie at the heart of the festive season.
A Larger-Than-Life Eight Treasure Tray Centrepiece
Taking centre stage from 27 January to 3 March 2026 is a striking, larger-than-life Eight Treasure Tray installation at the Outdoor Plaza, Level 1. Reimagined on a grand scale, the immersive display showcases iconic festive treats and symbolic design elements associated with prosperity and reunion.
Designed as a warm and welcoming gathering spot, the installation doubles as a photo-worthy backdrop for families and friends to capture festive moments together. Zodiac reading panels also surround the display, inviting visitors to discover insights and well-wishes for the Year of the Fire Horse.
TANGS Chinese New Year Fair Returns
Adding to the festive buzz, the popular TANGS Chinese New Year Fair returns to VivoCity from 27 January to 15 February 2026 at the Central Court, Level 1. Open daily from 10am to 10pm, the fair features more than 45 booths offering festive treats, hampers and gift sets from a mix of well-loved local favourites and established regional brands.

Highlights include traditional delights from Goodwood Park Hotel such as yam cake, celebratory cakes and festive cookies. CB (Sigma Food) presents premium frozen seafood alongside Chinese New Year essentials like Pen Cai and canned abalone.
Shoppers with a sweet tooth can explore festive cookies from Soicoco, Hanako and BB Atelier, artisanal snacks from Pinch Bakehouse, and Shanghai-inspired cookies and savoury treats from Shanghai Pai 310. Lo Hong Ka rounds out the selection with elegant hampers and nourishing bird’s nest offerings.
Festive Finds Across the Mall
Beyond the atrium fair, VivoCity’s tenants are rolling out a wide range of Chinese New Year-inspired offerings. From reunion-ready dining and festive treats to thoughtful gifts and seasonal fashion, shoppers can curate their own modern Eight Treasure Tray, filled with meaningful items to share, gift and enjoy throughout the season.
Spend-and-Redeem Rewards and Member Exclusives

Shoppers can enjoy attractive spend-and-redeem rewards during the festive period. With a minimum spend of $288 in up to two same-day transactions, shoppers can redeem an exclusive set of red packets and a Fortune Tray. Those who spend $428 can receive an additional Prosperity Keepsake Box, with Gold Members enjoying a bonus $10 TANGS eVoucher.
New VivoRewards members will receive a $5 VivoCity eVoucher with a minimum spend of $120 in a single transaction, while new VivoCity Kids Club members can look forward to a pair of ZOOMOOV Animal Ride eVouchers for family-friendly fun.
On weekends from 31 January to 15 February, shoppers who spend $100 in two same-day receipts can unlock fortune cookie rewards worth $20 and more at the North-West Boulevard, Level 1. From 7 to 15 February, visitors can also create their own bespoke festive keepsake, either a custom tea blend or a scented pouch, with a minimum spend of $200.
Cultural Performances and Festive Blessings
One of the most anticipated highlights takes place on 28 February 2026, when VivoCity hosts a rare 20-lion dance performance by the award-winning Pho Leng Lion Dance Troupe. The large-scale performance, an uncommon sight in mall settings, brings together 20 southern lions in a high-energy display to usher in luck, prosperity and festive cheer. An additional lion dance performance will be held on 25 February 2026 at the Outdoor Plaza, Level 1.
Shoppers can also meet roving Fu, Lu and Shou mascots on weekends from 31 January to 22 February 2026, where they can snap photos and receive festive blessings while shopping around the mall.
A Festive Destination for All
With its blend of cultural traditions, immersive installations, retail highlights and experiential programming, VivoCity’s Chinese New Year 2026 celebration offers something for everyone, from families and shoppers to cultural enthusiasts and festive revellers.
