I recently visited More Yogurt at Suntec City, the brand’s very first outlet in Singapore and also its debut outside China.
Known as China’s largest fresh-made yogurt beverage chain, with over 1,200 outlets and more than 21 million cups sold every year, the brand arrives with an already loyal following. Given its popularity back home, I was curious to see whether the hype would translate here, especially in a market that has become more selective about healthy food options.
From the first sip, it was clear that More Yogurt places a strong emphasis on texture and quality. The yogurt itself is smooth and well-balanced, closer to a refined smoothie than an overly thick dessert. None of the drinks felt watered down, and the flavours tasted natural, without any artificial aftertaste.
I started with the Almond Avocado Yogurt Shake, the brand’s best seller. The almonds are blended directly into the drink, which made it fragrant and really brought out the usually subtle avocado flavour. The result was a smooth, buttery drink with a gentle nuttiness that worked well with the yogurt. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the shake felt indulgent without being heavy.
Next were the fruit-based flavours, starting with the Mango Yogurt Shake. It was bright, creamy and refreshing, with a natural fruit sweetness that was never artificial or cloying. The lightness of the drink made it easy to enjoy, and it left me feeling surprisingly refreshed.
The Strawberry Yogurt Shake also stood out. Its soft, pretty pink hue makes it visually appealing, and the flavour comes from real strawberries. It was not overly sweet, making it a safe and reliable option.
One of the more interesting flavours was the Hawthorn Yogurt. It immediately reminded me of haw flakes, a childhood snack many Singaporean millennials will remember. There was a gentle tartness that paired well with the creamy yogurt. I had fun mixing in the generous hawflake toppings, which added a subtle crunch and extra sweetness. Overall, it felt playful yet comforting, and suited to the local palate.
The standout of the tasting was the Pandan Cendol Yogurt Shake, a Singapore-exclusive flavour created for the local market. The pandan was aromatic without being overpowering, complementing the standard cendol elements and creamy coconut milk for a balanced base. One interesting twist was the addition of mango, which made the drink surprisingly light and refreshing, adding a tropical brightness to the flavour.
Beyond the shakes, More Yogurt also offers bowls and light bites if you want something more filling. The Cold Brew Yogurt Bowl series uses fresh yogurt with whole and raw ingredients stirred in when you order. Flavours include Coconut Strawberry, Matcha Mango, and Strawberry Blueberry Chocolate Crunch. They feel indulgent but still wholesome and pair nicely with a shake.
There are also the Crispy Yogurt Sandwich and Cold Brew Yogurt Bakery series, with options like the Berry Yogurt Sandwich and Cold Brew Yogurt Bagels in Strawberry, Mango Matcha, and Rose.
For the Singapore opening, More Yogurt has some really fun promotions to kick things off. The first 100 cups at Suntec City are free, and if you snap a photo at the store hoarding and tag @moreyogurt.sg on Instagram, you could win a complimentary Almond Avocado Yogurt Shake. During the soft opening, drinks are 12% off, and from 30 January to 1 February, there’s 1-for-1 on the brand’s top three drinks.
