Rowell TCG to Open Singapore’s First Pokémon TCG Gym Deluxe at *SCAPE

Rowell Video Pte Ltd, better known as Rowell TCG, is set to open Singapore’s first Pokémon TCG Gym Deluxe store at *SCAPE on 18 January 2026. The new outlet brings together Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) content, official Pokémon merchandise, Pokémon Mezastar machines and a dedicated tournament space, all housed within a single immersive location.

Designed to cater to both long-time Pokémon fans and new players, the *SCAPE store reinforces Rowell TCG’s role in nurturing a vibrant and inclusive Pokémon community in Singapore. By combining retail, play and competitive elements, the store aims to offer a comprehensive experience for fans across different levels of engagement.

Located within one of Singapore’s most recognisable youth hubs, *SCAPE was identified as a natural fit for the Pokémon TCG Gym Deluxe concept. The venue offers direct access to a strong youth audience, casual fans and enthusiasts alike, aligning with Rowell TCG’s mission to build an active and engaged Pokémon TCG scene locally.

The new *SCAPE outlet also marks a significant milestone in Rowell TCG’s evolution. From its beginnings as a neighbourhood video rental shop that later pivoted into trading cards, Rowell TCG has grown into a well-known community hub for TCG enthusiasts. The Pokémon TCG Gym Deluxe store represents the brand’s most ambitious format yet, consolidating retail, experiential and competitive spaces under one roof.

The launch comes amid continued regional growth in the trading card game market. In 2024, the Southeast Asia TCG market was valued at approximately USD 101.7 million, with physical trading cards remaining the dominant segment. The market is expected to see steady growth in the years ahead, underscoring the rising popularity of TCGs across the region.

The official opening on 18 January 2026 will be marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by VIP guests, including representatives from The Pokémon Company, members of *SCAPE’s leadership team and key influencers from the TCG community. Following the ceremony, the store will open to the public, with visitors invited to take part in beginner-friendly TCG teaching workshops, Pokémon Gym Battles and other interactive activities.

As a Pokémon-licensed and approved store, Rowell TCG will host weekly gym battles and monthly in-house Pokémon TCG tournaments at its *SCAPE location. These regular events form part of the brand’s ongoing commitment to supporting and engaging Singapore’s Pokémon community, with updates and announcements shared through Rowell TCG’s official social media channels.
