The Boys’ Brigade Share-a-Gift Project 2025 Achieves Full Donation Target, Rallying Strong Community Support

The Boys’ Brigade Share-a-Gift (BBSG) Project 2025 has concluded on a high note, once again achieving 100 per cent of its online donation targets and ensuring that all beneficiaries received their hampers in time for the festive season. Officially launched on 28 November, the annual year-end initiative marked another meaningful milestone in its long-standing mission to bring comfort and joy to the less privileged in the community.

While donations progressed steadily throughout the campaign, BBSG faced an unexpected challenge this year with a shortage of volunteers for its delivery drives. In response, the organisation put out an appeal to members of the public who had access to vehicles to step forward and help with daily deliveries. The response was swift and heartening, with volunteer sign-ups rising from an initial 25 per cent to a full 100 per cent fulfilment of all delivery slots, underscoring the strong community spirit behind the project.

Now in its 38th edition, BBSG continued to expand its volunteer outreach to make the project more inclusive. Building on efforts introduced last year, the initiative enabled members of the public without access to vehicles to take part in the delivery process as well. Food donations contributed by the public were packed into BBSG hampers and distributed to General Wishes beneficiaries, while funds raised through online donations were channelled towards fulfilling Specific Wishes gift requests.

Despite supporting a lower number of beneficiaries this year, the overwhelming generosity and support from donors and volunteers alike ensured that no one was left behind.
