Pokémon Takes Over the Skies at the Singapore Cable Car with a New Day-to-Night Adventure Perfect for Families

If you are looking for something fun to do with the young ones, the Singapore Cable Car has brought back its Pokémon-themed cabins from 22 November 2025 to 30 April 2026. The award-winning experience from 2023 has been refreshed this year with a new concept that gives families two different adventures in one ride!

In the daytime, the cabins along the Mount Faber Line are wrapped with familiar favourites like Pikachu, Eevee, Charmander, Jigglypuff and Gengar.

Children can enjoy spotting them even before they board. Inside, each cabin is decorated according to the featured Pokémon. The themed seats and flooring make the ride feel a little more special for young fans who love the series.

When the sun goes down, the adventure takes on a different feel. Families riding after 7.45pm will receive a small UV torch before boarding. Once inside, shine the light around the cabin and the Pokémon hunt starts. Keep a lookout for any of the five flying-type Pokémon which only appear under the UV light!

But the real thrill comes with Mew. Just like in the original Pokémon games where it’s rare and elusive, you might just spot it hiding in one of the cabins!

Spotting it becomes a fun challenge for families who want to take the experience a step further. For many parents and children, finding Mew can become the highlight of the entire ride!

Make sure to stick around after your cable car ride! Mount Faber Peak has one last treat for families. The life-sized Pikachu statue is the star of the show, and it’s almost always surrounded by kids and parents lining up for that perfect photo.

The first-generation starter Pokémon are also on display as bright, oversized photo spots. With the hilltop views as a backdrop, the area feels like a playful mini photo playground. Make sure to grab a few fun family shots before heading off!

Make sure to swing by the Singapore Cable Car gift shop before or after your ride. Children will have a blast browsing through the freshly stocked Pokémon goodies, from soft toys and shirts to keychains.

There’s even a DIY Pokémon Jibbit keychain station where the little ones can get creative and take home something they made themselves, a fun way to round off the adventure and grab a few keepsakes for the family.

To celebrate the launch, Singapore Cable Car is running a Snap, Tag and Win contest which is easy for families to join, especially if your kids love taking photos. The contest runs from 1 to 31 December 2025, and all you need to do is post your best shots from the ride.

Families can take part in two ways: share a daytime photo or video in the cable car with any Pokémon, and post a nighttime shot featuring Mew inside the glowing UV cabin. Just tag @MountFaberLeisure and make sure your account is public.

Five winners will be selected weekly throughout December at the start of the following week, so keep a look out. You could be the next Ash Ketchum, catching them all!
