Rakuten Kobo Unveils Kobo Clara Colour in Classic White

Rakuten Kobo is giving its fan-favourite eReader a fresh new look with the launch of the Kobo Clara Colour in White. Sleek, minimalist, and timeless, the new colorway adds a touch of elegance to Kobo’s most accessible colour eReader without compromising on the vibrant features and thoughtful design readers already love.

Perfect for booklovers who want their devices to reflect personal style, the white Kobo Clara Colour comes packed with Kobo’s full ecosystem: an eBookstore with over eight million titles, seamless Libby library integration, Instapaper for web articles, and unlimited reading through the Kobo Plus subscription.

Compact Design, Full-Colour Experience

The Kobo Clara Colour brings Kobo’s advanced E Ink Kaleido 3 display to a portable 6” device, making reading more vivid and versatile from colourful graphic novels to easily organised, colour-coded highlights. Crafted with recycled and ocean-bound plastic, it’s also a more eco-conscious choice for modern readers.

Key Features

  • Full-Colour E Ink Display – Crisp black-and-white text with natural, vibrant colours.
  • Effortless Highlighting – Multiple colour options for notes and annotations.
  • ComfortLight PRO – Adjustable brightness and colour temperature for day or night reading.
  • Seamless OverDrive Integration – Borrow library books directly on the device.
  • Waterproof & Travel-Ready – IPX8 waterproofing makes it perfect for beach or bath.
  • Eco-Conscious Build – Made from recycled materials and sustainably packaged.

To protect the device, Kobo also introduces the eco-friendly SleepCover (SGD 49.90) in six colours, from Candy Pink to Dusk Blue, made with 97% recycled plastic, including 10% ocean-bound plastic. More budget-friendly options include the Basic SleepCover and Clear Case (SGD 29.90).

The Kobo Clara Colour in White launches 23 September 2025 at SGD 239.90 via kobo.com and leading retailers including Challenger and Courts. Pre-orders are now open exclusively on Kobo website.
