UNIQLO has officially named Academy Award-winning actor Cate Blanchett as its newest Global Brand Ambassador, marking a collaboration that blends fashion, artistry, and purpose.
Renowned for her roles in Tár, Carol, The Aviator, Blue Jasmine, and Elizabeth, Blanchett is not only one of the most acclaimed actors of her generation but also a style icon recognized on international best-dressed lists. Beyond the screen, she has made an indelible mark on theatre as co-Artistic Director of Sydney Theatre Company and co-founder of production company Dirty Films.
Through this partnership, Blanchett will work with UNIQLO to further its LifeWear philosophy: a vision centered on quality, innovation, and making a positive impact on society.
Her global influence extends far beyond film and fashion. As a UNHCR Global Goodwill Ambassador, Blanchett champions displaced communities worldwide. She also serves on the Earthshot Prize Council, is the inaugural Ambassador for Wakehurst’s Millennium Seed Bank, and actively supports leading arts, conservation, and humanitarian organizations including the National Theatre, Sydney Film Festival, and Australian Wildlife Conservancy.
