Alipay+ Unveils World’s First Smart Glasses-Embedded Payment Solution with Meizu in Hong Kong

Alipay+, the global cross-border mobile payment platform under Ant International, has launched the world’s first smart glasses-embedded e-wallet payment solution, marking a major leap in wearable payment technology. In a groundbreaking real-world trial in Hong Kong, Alipay+ completed a successful transaction using Meizu StarV Snap smart glasses integrated with AlipayHK, Hong Kong’s leading digital superapp.

This milestone follows Alipay’s earlier pilot with Rokid in China and extends the innovation to global e-wallets. Powered by Alipay+’s advanced tech suite, the smart glasses enable users to make seamless payments through QR code scanning or voice commands — supported by AI-powered voice interface, intent recognition, and voiceprint authentication for enhanced security and convenience.

A New Era of Hands-Free Payments

The new feature will roll out to Alipay+ global wallet partners in 2025, transforming how users engage in commerce by combining Meizu’s state-of-the-art optical waveguide display, voice noise reduction, and camera-based code scanning technology with Alipay+’s AI-driven payment SDK. In April 2025, Meizu officially announced its smart glasses as the first globally to enable offline mobile payments via AI glasses, powered by Alipay+.

This hands-free payment innovation opens the door for frictionless transactions in retail, travel, and public spaces — ushering in a future where smart wearables play a central role in everyday commerce.
