Les Misérables: The Arena Spectacular Marches into Singapore in 2026

Singapore’s theatre scene is set for a revolutionary moment as Cameron Mackintosh, in collaboration with Nick Grace Management and Base Entertainment Asia, brings LES MISÉRABLES THE ARENA SPECTACULAR to the Sands Theatre at Marina Bay Sands in March 2026.

This breathtaking large-scale production, celebrating the 40th anniversary of the world’s longest-running musical, reimagines the beloved classic by Boublil and Schönberg for grand arenas around the globe. Having opened to rave reviews across the UK and Europe in 2024, and recently shattering box office records in Australia, the Singapore leg promises to deliver the musical on a scale never seen before in the city.

Adapted from the West End’s record-breaking Les Misérables: The Staged Concert, this arena version ups the spectacle with a cast and orchestra of over 65 international talents, cutting-edge set and lighting design, and an all-new immersive visual experience.

The creative dream team includes directors James Powell and Jean-Pierre Van Der Spuy, designer Matt Kinley, and lighting by Paule Constable and Warren Letton, with music supervision by Stephen Brooker and Alfonso Casado Trigo. The full casting is expected to be announced soon.

Currently, Les Misérables continues its legendary run at London’s Sondheim Theatre, with multiple local-language productions on stage or in development worldwide. Meanwhile, a remastered version of the Oscar-winning film was recently re-released in cinemas to mark its 10th anniversary.
