In light of Jetstar Asia’s recent operational cessation, Income Insurance has stepped in with a gesture of goodwill for affected travellers. The company announced that eligible customers who purchased its travel insurance with pre-trip cancellation cover will now be supported, even though airline shutdowns are not typically covered under the policy’s standard cancellation events.
This goodwill measure allows eligible policyholders—those with single trip or annual plans bought before 11 June 2025, 8 AM —to claim for unused, prepaid travel expenses. Covered items include accommodation, travel packages, local tours, amusement park tickets, and land transport (excluding Jetstar airfare).
Customers will receive full refunds within policy limits if they are unable to recover costs from original service providers, in accordance with Income’s travel insurance terms and conditions.
