Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2025 Shatters Records with 51 Million Votes and Star-Studded Musical Lineup

The countdown is on! With a staggering 51 million fan votes cast from across the globe—a nearly 50% jump from last year’s total—Crunchyroll has unveiled exciting new details for the 2025 Crunchyroll Anime Awards, including a high-energy lineup of musical acts and celebrity presenters set to light up the stage in Tokyo.

This year’s awards ceremony, happening on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at the Grand Prince Hotel Shin Takanawa, will feature electrifying performances from anime music icons LiSA, FLOW, and Creepy Nuts. These artists represent anime’s growing global impact and musical reach.

  • LiSA, known for Demon Slayer’s breakout hit “Gurenge” and once Spotify’s most-streamed Japanese artist overseas, returns for a special performance.
  • Creepy Nuts, the 2025 Anime Award-nominated hip-hop duo behind viral opening themes “Otonoke” (Dan Da Dan) and “Bling-Bang-Bang-Born” (Mashle: Magic and Muscles), will bring their signature energy to the stage.
  • Legendary rock band FLOW, whose music powered openings for Naruto and Code Geass, will perform “DAYS” in celebration of Eureka Seven’s 20th anniversary.

Joining the musical celebration are an equally impressive roster of presenters, including global superstar J Balvin, GRAMMY-winning artist Kacey Musgraves, and Hollywood screenwriter Zak Penn. The show will be hosted by voice actress Sally Amaki and TV personality Jon Kabira.

The live broadcast kicks off with a pre-show at 5:00PM JST and the main ceremony at 6:00PM JST, streaming worldwide via Crunchyroll’s Twitch and YouTube channels, Sony Pictures Core, and the Sony Group Global YouTube Channel. Fans can tune in in nine languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Hindi, and more.
