Aston Martin has officially unveiled the DBX S, the new flagship of its ultra-luxury SUV lineup. Designed to push boundaries, the DBX S delivers more power, sharper handling, and a bolder identity—all while drawing inspiration from the brand’s supercar future, particularly the upcoming Valhalla.

Carrying forward the legacy of Aston Martin’s iconic ‘S’ models, the DBX S enhances the acclaimed DBX707 platform with cutting-edge technology and performance-driven upgrades. At its core is a re-engineered 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, featuring turbocharger advancements derived from the Valhalla. This powerful setup boosts output to 727PS, propelling the SUV from 0-62 mph in just 3.3 seconds, with a blistering top speed of 193 mph.
Performance refinements go beyond power. A new, more responsive 9-speed ‘wet clutch’ transmission, enhanced exhaust system, and precise gear mapping in Sport and Sport+ modes all contribute to an exhilarating drive. Torque distribution is fully variable—up to 100% to the rear wheels—ensuring traction and control in all conditions.

Aston Martin’s engineers have also implemented a smart weight reduction strategy, most notably with the introduction of a stunning optional carbon fibre roof—the largest ever fitted to an Aston Martin—which sheds 18kg and lowers the centre of gravity. Available magnesium wheels cut unsprung mass by another 19kg, while an optional polycarbonate honeycomb grille, lighter than traditional metal designs, refines front-end aerodynamics.
Handling is sharper than ever, with a 4% quicker steering ratio and recalibrated air suspension for reduced body roll (just 1.5 degrees). Carbon ceramic brakes ensure fierce stopping power, while the DBX S’s adaptive suspension actively adjusts roll stiffness to maximize grip through corners.
Visually, the DBX S makes a commanding statement. A pure black vaned grille leads the front, with an optional lightweight honeycomb grille borrowed from the DBS 770 Ultimate. Aggressive splitters, diffusers, and quad exhausts—now vertically stacked—complement a sleek silhouette defined by aerodynamic sills and signature ‘S’ badging. Carbon fibre details are available across the exterior, including mirror caps and lower trim.
At the rear, a new lower livery design in bold colours like Rosso Corsa Red and Podium Green highlights the sculpted bodywork and emphasizes the DBX S’s racing DNA.
Inside, the DBX S features a bespoke herringbone seat pattern and standard Alcantara trim throughout, paired with semi-aniline leather in high-wear areas. For added luxury, full leather upholstery is also available. Aston Martin’s iconic wings are precision-embossed into the headrests using a proprietary technique, while the ‘S’ moniker is subtly embroidered and etched throughout the cabin.

Technology is front and centre with Aston Martin’s latest in-house infotainment system, seamlessly integrated into a redesigned dashboard. A 14-speaker 800W audio system comes standard, while audiophiles can opt for a 1,600W Bowers & Wilkins sound system, engineered specifically for the DBX S cabin for an immersive acoustic experience.
With the launch of DBX S, Aston Martin reinforces its commitment to performance, design, and innovation in the SUV space. Lighter, faster, and undeniably distinctive, the DBX S marks a bold evolution in the marque’s high-performance lineage.
The Aston Martin DBX S is available to order now, with first deliveries expected in Q4 2025.
