This Earth Month, CASETiFY is doubling down on sustainability by spotlighting its Re/CASETiFY initiative—a bold upcycling program that gives old phone cases a second life as art, accessories, and more. Alongside this, the tech accessory brand has released a new Sustainability Report showcasing its eco-progress and ambitions for a greener future.
Re/CASETiFY: Circular Design, Real Impact

At the heart of CASETiFY’s eco-mission is Re/CASETiFY, a global take-back program that invites customers to drop off old smartphone and earbud cases at any of the brand’s 40+ studio locations. These used items are transformed into Re/CASETiFY Pellets, a recycled material used to make new products—an approach that earned a nod from Fast Company as one of 2022’s most impactful sustainability efforts.
To date, the program has diverted over 105,000 kg of plastic from landfills since 2021, including 31,000 kg in 2024 alone, and recycled more than 2.1 million phone cases.
Pioneering Materials and Carbon Goals

CASETiFY is also innovating with BioVeg, a plant-based alternative to synthetic leather that’s five times more durable and slashes carbon emissions by 13%. The company has partnered with Seven Clean Seas to remove 1,000 kg of ocean plastic waste per month, while setting long-term targets to reduce electricity usage by 6.42% and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. By 2030, CASETiFY aims to maintain a 100% recycling rate for production waste in Hong Kong.
Artful Upcycling: Design Meets Sustainability

Bringing the Re/CASETiFY mission to life, acclaimed ceramic artist Cody Hoyt has created a stunning mosaic bench from recycled phone cases. The vibrant artwork will be displayed at CASETiFY STUDiO in K11 Musea, Hong Kong, serving as a bold visual testament to sustainable design.
Joining the initiative is reEDIT Lab, known for upcycled collaborations with major brands. The studio has designed two functional products using recycled CASETiFY materials: colorful phone stands, now available across participating Asia stores, and sleek retail name badges for 200 CASETiFY employees.
