Starbucks Singapore has officially opened its latest flagship store at 37 Smith Street, right in the heart of Chinatown—just a three-minute walk from the MRT station. Stepping into the store, visitors are welcomed by a striking “星巴克” (Starbucks) signboard—an intricate collaboration between Calligraphy Master Yong Cheong Thye and Wood Carving Master Cheh Kai Hon. Their handcrafted masterpiece combines Chinese calligraphy with woodwork and traditional plaster moulding, a first-of-its-kind artistic treatment for a Starbucks store in Singapore.

From traditional motifs and murals by Singaporean artist Tiffany Lovage to contemporary furnishings and a youthful color palette, the store is designed to be both a cozy retreat and a vibrant gathering spot.

A highlight of this new Starbucks experience is a dedicated retail zone featuring exclusive merchandise, including a collaboration with local calligraphy artist JunleFont. Visitors will also find a life-sized Merlion Bearista on-site—perfect for photo ops and a whimsical nod to Singapore’s iconic symbol.
