[Promo Alert] Newly Launched Atic Rooftop Restaurant at Citadines Connect City Centre Serves Up Set Lunch from just S$17.90

Singapore’s dining scene welcomes a new addition with the opening of Atic (previously Edition), a rooftop restaurant at Citadines Connect City Centre Singapore.

Helmed by Chef Newein Dolph Toolseram, this cosy-sized restaurant offers a contemporary take on Southeast Asian flavours, drawing inspirations from Chef Newein’s own multi-cultural lineage.

The restaurant’s name, a playful reversal of “Cita” from Citadines, reflects its mission to reinvent regional classics while staying true to their roots.

Chef Newein brings a wealth of experience from established kitchens like Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen and Wild Honey, infusing dishes with influences from his multicultural background spanning Burmese, Chinese, Dutch, and Peranakan-Hokkien heritage. The result is a menu that celebrates Southeast Asia’s rich culinary diversity through creative execution.

At the moment, Atic is only serving weekday lunch, offering a wallet-friendly set menu from just S$17.90 (Grilled Tiger Prawns, Brick Chicken, Fried Oyster Mushroom or Seared Barramundi for the main) to $22.90 (Ribeye or Pork Chop Bakar for the main), from Monday to Friday, 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm.

Each set menu order comes with a choice of base and protein and a serving or coffee or tea.

Guests can mix and match their bases from three options: Egg Noodles (Peperoncino Egg Noodles); Roti John (Housemade Hainanese Buns, Spiced Omelette, Mesclun Salad) or Nasi Kuning (Turmeric Basmati Rice), with proteins such as Brick Chicken, Fried Oyster Mushrooms, Seared Barramundi, Grilled Tiger Prawns, Ribeye and Signature Pork Chop Bakar.

To add some “kick” to the food, you can choose one of their three sauces: Black Pepper, Thai Sweet Chilli or Housemade Sambal Belachan as a condiment to your dish.

For bigger eaters or to share, the menu includes curated sides such as chicken wings, grilled broccolini, garlic crispy cheese fries, spiced calamari, gambas, charred Caesar salad, rojak and grilled Hispi cabbage.

For dessert, a recommendation would be to try their signature orh nee tart, a modern interpretation of the traditional yum pie.

Overall, we find the prices reasonable and the food simple and unpretentious, focusing on delivering comfort through the modern reinterpretation of familiar Asian flavours.

We like the mix-and-match concept for the base and protein, offering various combinations for the office crowd nearby who can try something different for lunch for many days.

Standout items for us were Chef Newein’s version of roti john, a bold attempt at presenting something familiar with a contemporary interpretation, and the housemade sambal sauce, which is a must-try.
