Conceptualized by Chef Elson Lee, trained under the late Michelin-starred Chef Santaro Lee, and crafted alongside Executive Chef David Toh, this culinary journey showcases the finest seasonal Japanese ingredients with a modern izakaya twist.

A Cultural Culinary Celebration

The Sakura Serenity Buffet is the second installment in Food Capital’s cultural-themed dining series, following the highly acclaimed Phuket Flavourscape Buffet. To launch this exquisite dining experience, the opening event on 16 April will feature a traditional Taiko drum performance and a tuna cutting ceremony by Chef Elson Lee. Guests can also participate in a lucky draw, with prizes worth up to $800, including luxurious stays in the hotel’s newly refurbished Grand Deluxe Room.

With over 27 years of experience and mentorship under Chef Santaro Lee, Chef Elson Lee brings an innovative edge to classic izakaya dishes. Expect a carefully curated menu featuring robatayaki skewers, premium sashimi, and inventive small plates. Highlights include the Flavours of Japan Sashimi Platter, Grilled Unagi, and the bold Japanese Beef Curry. From the robatayaki grill, savour smoky delights like Japanese Pork Skewers and Chicken Yakitori, alongside comforting dishes like the Oden Station with shrimp gyoza and dashi stock.

For sushi enthusiasts, a two-meter-long sushi belt offers a rotating selection, while the Live Station elevates the dining experience with daily chef-curated specials and signature roasts, such as herb-crusted roasted beef and slow-roasted lamb leg. Complete your meal with Japanese-inspired desserts like Green Tea Pound Cake, Hojicha Crème Brûlée, and Black Sesame Ice Cream.

This exclusive buffet is available for lunch (Monday to Saturday) at $72++ per adult and $36++ per child, and dinner (Sunday to Thursday) at $102++ per adult and $51++ per child. Weekend dinners are priced at $112++ per adult and $56++ per child, with children under five dining for free.
