TikTok has teamed up with TOUCH Cyber Wellness to launch “Our Digital Journey,” a new initiative designed to equip parents and teens with essential skills for responsible digital citizenship. This programme aims to enhance online safety, support social media readiness, and encourage open conversations about digital well-being.

Supporting Singapore’s Digital for Life movement, the initiative will roll out a series of community and school-based workshops across Singapore, starting in March 2025 in Sembawang Group Representation Constituency (GRC). The goal is to train over 250 parent-teenager pairs by the end of the year, providing them with practical tools to navigate the digital world together.
Empowering Families Through Shared Learning

With over 20 years of expertise in cyber wellness engagement, TOUCH Cyber Wellness brings its knowledge to the hands-on workshops, where parents and teens will learn how to balance screen time, engage in healthy online habits, and use TikTok’s safety tools effectively. By encouraging co-creation of family-oriented digital strategies, the programme fosters open discussions and mutual understanding between parents and teenagers.
A key highlight includes a special segment by content creator Denise Teo (@supercatkei), who will share her personal digital journey. Interactive elements such as myth-busting exercises and role-playing scenarios will help bridge communication gaps between parents and teens, making digital wellness a shared responsibility.
Strengthening Community Involvement in Digital Safety

At the initiative’s launch event, Minister for Health, Mr Ong Ye Kung, joined a panel discussion alongside representatives from TikTok, TOUCH Cyber Wellness, and Dr Natalie Pang, Associate Professor at NUS and member of TikTok’s Safety Advisory Council. Discussions focused on:
- The skills and awareness young people need to safely navigate digital spaces.
- Challenges parents face in discussing online experiences with their children and how teens can make these conversations more effective.
- The role of parents in encouraging healthy digital habits, filtering harmful content, and staying engaged in their teen’s online activities.
TikTok reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a safe digital environment by continuously refining platform safety measures and promoting positive online habits.
By fostering collaboration between parents, teens, and the community, “Our Digital Journey” is set to create a more resilient, well-informed generation of digital users—one conversation at a time.
