A Space for Everyone to Connect

Tinder, the app that transformed modern dating, continues to champion LGBTQIA+ inclusivity with groundbreaking statistics: 30% of all matches on Tinder today are between LGBTQIA+ users—a remarkable 66% increase year over year. Globally, the app offers over 50 gender identities and nine sexual orientations, creating a welcoming space for everyone to connect and express themselves.

With nearly 7 billion LGBTQIA+ matches to date, Tinder has become a crucial platform for the community. Among 18-25-year-olds, 28% of all matches are between LGBTQIA+ users, underscoring the app’s role in fostering connections and celebrating diversity.

Dating Apps: A Gateway to Self-Expression

According to a recent Tinder survey, 53% of LGBTQIA+ users said they came out on a dating app before telling their friends and family. Additionally, 77% of those surveyed from the LGBTQIA+ community have used dating apps to meet a romantic partner. In Thailand, 100% of LGBTQIA+ respondents reported meeting a match in person, and 50% said they developed meaningful relationships through dating apps.

Celebrating Pride and Community in Thailand

Tinder has long supported Thailand’s LGBTQIA+ community through initiatives such as the “Made with Pride Singles Market,” collaborations with NGOs like the APCOM Foundation, and the creation of the iconic Pride Wave in Bangkok. The app has also empowered LGBTQIA+ entrepreneurs through a partnership with Airbnb and introduced Pride Stickers for users to authentically celebrate inclusivity.
