Momolato Opens Its Second Outlet on North Bridge Road

Beloved artisanal ice cream brand Momolato has officially opened its second outlet in Singapore, nestled near the iconic Sultan Mosque in the vibrant Kampong Glam district. Building on the success of its first location on Haji Lane, award-winning gelato artisan Chef Sharon Tay brings her innovative desserts and whimsical design flair to this new space on North Bridge Road.

A Dessert Wonderland of Innovation

Momolato’s new outlet introduces an expanded menu that takes classic desserts to imaginative new heights. Highlights include:

  • Kunafa Waffle: A Middle Eastern-inspired delight with crispy and doughy textures.
  • Deep-Fried Mochi Ice Cream: A playful contrast of crispy exteriors and chewy, creamy centers.
  • Specialty cakes like Ondeh Ondeh, Pulut Hitam Cheesecake, and the indulgent Chocolate Addict.

For savory lovers, Momolato now offers smash burgers, pizza, fried chicken, and the fun Cheese Coin Waffle, available in flavors like gooey mozzarella and cheddar, Ondeh Ondeh, pistachio, and Nutella.

Of course, the heart of Momolato remains its signature gelato, now with 24 flavors, including six exciting new creations:

  • Arabica Coffee Hazelnut
  • Choc Hazelnut Kunafa
  • Sweet Corn Cempedak
  • Hibiscus Apple
  • Chilli Mango Lime

Served in crepe cones or cups, these gelatos are a feast for both the eyes and the palate.

Step inside, and you’ll find a café designed to delight. The 20-seater outlet combines modern eclectic elements with whimsical accents. Pastel pistachio cream walls, terracotta tiles, and cloud-shaped lamps create a playful yet cozy vibe. Arched motifs pay homage to the nearby Sultan Mosque while reflecting the creamy textures of gelato.

The ice cream cart-inspired storefront bridges Momolato’s humble beginnings with its bright future, making it a perfect spot for Instagram-worthy moments.

Chef Sharon Tay: Crafting Dessert Dreams

Chef Sharon Tay’s journey began by crafting ice cream for other cafés, earning Momolato its reputation as the “brand behind the brands.” Trained in Italy under master gelato artisans, Sharon has created over 300 unique flavors, even winning the Asia-Pacific title at the Gelato World Tour. Her passion for innovation and attention to detail are evident in every scoop and every corner of Momolato’s outlets.
