Celebrate the Holidays with Café&Meal MUJI’s Festive Dining Delights

MUJI Café lovers, tis’ the season to be jolly, for MUJI has just released their new festive menu for 2024.

This holiday season, diners will get to enjoy a Festive 4 Deli Set Meal ($23.80) comprising of new and unique dishes, with the vegetables being locally sourced as well as the recipes being personally crafted by the head chef.

In this Festive 4 Deli Set Meal, instead of rice, you will get to savour a special Bacon Onion Quiche that is just as delicious and filling as the rice, if not more. Not only that, they have also released two new drinks and four different desserts galore.

Cold Delis:

Roasted Butternut Squash and Turkey Ham Salad – Tender and flavourful butternut squash that goes perfectly with the savoury turkey ham. Combined with cranberries and fresh baby spinach in a honey cinnamon dressing, this cold deli is a refreshing treat for all to enjoy.

Parsnip and Pear Salad – Caramelised and roasted Packham pear is put together with parsnip, bacon, mushrooms and walnuts in a honey blue cheese dressing. The dish is unexpected yet delicious, with the different crunchy and soft ingredients bringing out an exceptional texture experience, with the blue cheese dressing only enhancing the flavour more.

Hot Delis:

Cranberry Red Wine Chicken – Tender chicken simmered in cranberry red wine stew, topped with roasted pineapple salsa, giving it a fruity kick of refreshing tropical sweetness.

Braised Pork Collar and Apple Stew – Succulent pork collar slow-braised with apples and a touch of white wine. The slice of apple in the stew gives it a crunchy and fruity depth that balances the flavours from the tender pork.

Bacon Onion Quiche – A savoury tart crispy on the outside and buttery on the inside, filled with bacon and caramalised onions for the perfect umami bite.

Festive Desserts

Hojicha Biscoff Castella ($8.90) – Cake with a soft Hojicha sponge and Chantilly cream, layered in a Biscoff cake with crunchy crumble and topped with a biscuit. The crunchy elements adds texture while the delicious Hojicha sponge is soft and tastes delightfully of Hojicha tea. An amazing treat, expecially for Hojicha lovers.

Gingerbread Apple Prune Roll ($8.90) – Gingerbread flavoured sponge with a caramel apple and prune cream filling, the insides containing fruity, crunchy bits of apple for you to enjoy. A perfect festive treat.

Raspberry Blue Cheese Chocolate Tart ($10.90) – Chocolate tart containing raspberry jelly on one half and blue cheese on the other, encased in rich chocolate raspberry cream. Despite the odd sounding combination that is blue cheese and chocolate, the deep richness and slight bitterness of the chocolate balances out the powerful blue cheese, the raspberry adding festive fruity note to go along. Interesting yet delicious.

Matcha Burnt Cheesecake ($8.90) – Creamy burnt cheesecake infused with bittersweet matcha, a balance of flavours, of the matcha’s natural sweetness and the flavours of cheesecake.

Festive Drinks

Cinnamon Pomegranate Soda ($7.90) – A refreshing sparkling soda consisting of ginger ale, pomegranate. rosemary and cinnamon, with the sweet aromatic flavours of the festive season being captured and placed within a glass.

Cherry Mojito ($7.90) – A vibrant festive drink containing cherry marmalade, mint, lime, and fizzy soda, with the tiny pieces of cherry keeping you company along your festive soda adventure.
