New Wenzhou-Singapore Direct Flight Route to Launch December 2024

Loong Air, in collaboration with Shanghai Xihao Aviation Services Co., Ltd., has officially unveiled the Wenzhou-Singapore direct flight route, set to launch on December 24, 2024.

This highly anticipated route will offer three weekly flights—on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays—operated under flight number GJ8797/8. Flights from Wenzhou to Singapore are scheduled from 10:40 AM to 3:55 PM, while return flights depart Singapore at 5:00 PM, arriving in Wenzhou at 10:00 PM. Passengers can look forward to a full-service experience, including in-flight meals, ensuring a smooth and comfortable journey.

The launch event in Singapore brought together distinguished representatives from Zhejiang Province, the Singapore Wenzhou Chamber of Commerce, and various travel and business organizations. Linda Hou, Chief Representative of the Zhejiang Commercial Representative Office in Southeast Asia, emphasized the significance of this new route in strengthening China-Singapore ties across tourism, business, and cultural exchanges.

Wang Yuguo, Commercial Director of Loong Air, described the direct route as a vital step in the airline’s international expansion. He highlighted the partnership with Shanghai Xihao Aviation as a key driver for fostering connections between the two regions. Similarly, Pan Huan Ying, Chairman of Shanghai Xihao Aviation Services, underscored the route’s potential to enhance trade, education, and tourism opportunities while advancing China’s Belt and Road Initiative.

The event also featured a detailed presentation by Dora Pan of Shanghai Xihao Aviation Services, highlighting the route’s convenience and cost efficiency for travelers. Special ticket promotions and tailored travel packages will cater to diverse passenger needs, including international students and overseas Singaporeans.

To celebrate the launch, Wenzhou Jingcheng International Travel Agency showcased Wenzhou’s rich cultural and natural attractions, while travel industry leaders from both regions signed Memorandums of Understanding to promote bilateral tourism and business opportunities.
