A Newborn’s Fight for Life: Join the Battle to Save Baby Afina

Every breath is a struggle for baby Afina, who came into this world with a rare and challenging condition. Born with Pierre Robin sequence, which affects her facial structure and airway, Afina has been fighting for her life in the NICU since her very first day. Her tiny body relies on life support to keep her breathing, and now, a serious infection has made her journey even harder.

Afina’s airway complications demanded immediate intubation at birth, and she has since been dependent on critical care to survive. Recently, she developed Acinetobacter pneumonia, a dangerous infection that has put her in an even more vulnerable state. Her parents, struggling with the weight of mounting medical expenses, are watching over her with hope and heartbreak. Her father, a scrap metal collector, works tirelessly, yet his income cannot begin to cover the astronomical costs required to keep his baby girl alive.
